Sarah Palin; A $150,000 Price Tag

Matthew Trevithick
Sarah Palin you Ignorant Slut. (aha, SNL reference)
If you can remember a while ago, the McCain campaign ran that advertisement saying that Barack Obama was some sort of Liberal Elite with his money, and New York Times and his celebrity cultural status that is reverberated worldwide - you might find it amusing that some new discoveries have popped up that make Sarah Palin and John McCain look like two of the biggest idiot/hypocrites ever.

It was reported yesterday that the Republican National Committee has spent an estimated $150,000 of campaign money, dressing up Sarah Palin and her kids for McCain rally appearances.[1] Palin has received the equivalent of $2,500 in clothes per day from places such as Saks Fifth Avenue (where RNC expenditures totaled nearly $50,000) and Neiman Marcus (where the governor had a $75,000 spree). This coming from the woman who said she spoke on behalf of "hockey-mom-Joe-six packs" across America. Seems shes not so "average-Joe" as she makes herself out to be.

When the economy is going downhill ever faster - and John McCain and Sarah Palin insist on making the country think that they are similar to the "Average American", the exact opposite happens. They end up making lying asses of themselves; and oddly this isn't the first time they have been called out on their lunatic spending sprees either.

Before she became the VP nominee, Sarah Palin spent $50,000 of taxpayer money, redecorating the Governors office in Alaska. A charge that was frowned upon greatly when the story surfaced in September. "I thought it was an outrageous expense, especially for someone who had run as a budget cutter," said former Wasilla City Council member Nick Carney. "It was also illegal, because Sarah had not received the council's approval."[2]

The greatest number to rise from the hypocritical elitism that is the McCain campaign, was when John McCain couldn't even remember the number of homes he had during an interview. By the way, it was 7. For someone who touts himself as the "Maverick" who can relate to all the economic troubles facing normal Americans - he sure as hell doesn't resemble one.

By the way, if you were wondering, Barack Obama only owns one house.

McCain, your blatant excuse for lame diversions from real political issues is disgusting. Sick to the facts, don't make shit up - and for gods sake - try to get back to that "honorable" campaign you promised everyone.[3]
